Hello! My name is Jordan, and I am a Hoosier that recently moved to Louisville, KY for a residency in pediatrics. I am enjoying my new southern home and taking care of kids in Kentucky. When I am not in the hospital, I am usually sleeping. However, I also love to read, keep a constant stream of music, be with family/friends, and generally appreciate life. Thank you for stopping by to read about my adventures in the hospital, travels, and life in general.
L'Chaim! To life!
Good job, Meg. The fetoscope is "an acoustic stethoscope shaped like a listening trumpet. It is placed against the abdomen of a pregnant woman to listen to the heart sounds of the fetus" (Wikipedia). The fetoscope is also called the Pinard's stethoscope or a pinard, named after Adolphe Pinard (1844-1934), a French obstetrician.
Though not used much anymore in modern practice with our newer, fancy schmancy tools, this stetoscope, along with a doppler fetal monitor, became daily fixtures in my routine in Berne.

My answer is: Fetoscope Prenatal Obstetric stethoscope
See you soon!
I think it looks like a stethoscope with a bicycle horn on it. So I would call it a bike-horn-oscope. :)
Get cha head in the game!
