Today was a significant one in taking my last official exam at IU Gary. I still have to take my board exam in two weeks but it feels sweet to have finished a two-year chapter of pure "book study". Theoretically, I do not have to step foot into a center study room again - considerable, given that much of my last two years have been lived in them - literally!
Though I will not miss the steel mills and polution, dodging gigantic potholes on the way to and from school, planning my departures based on level of gunfire, or putting another week of groceries into my "cubby" at school, I will definitely miss much of the staff, seeing my classmates on a regular basis, and the teaching/friendships of my church here. All in all, I think am ready to move on...to the new challenge of the hospital wards, to established friendships, to family, to new beginnings.
Until then, I will be spending most of my time with these close companions:

I appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
Cheers...to Gary.
