Phlebotomy 101

With these two and a matching wound on my left forearm, I have had enough of being poked and prodded for one day. Today we learned how to draw blood...using our classmates as patients. I actually really enjoyed the change of pace and a very practical exercise amidst a week of boards studying. We tried 3 different phlebotomy tools...I got blood on the first try for two of them but the third one (the syringe method) did not prove so easy. As a result, Katie's arm looks a lot worse than mine! Practice makes perfect, right?
