At the beginning of fall, I wanted to get back to Brown County. A few invitations later, I ended up with three trips with family and friends to visit. Jeff & Meg helped make Brown County trip #1 awesome. This week was #2 with my parents. My parents traveled to Louisville on Thursday evening. We enjoyed some El Mundo with authentic Mexican cuisine. This morning, we went to breakfast at Toast, a local Louisville favorite, and made our way up to Brown County. On the way, we stopped at Huber's Orchard and Winery. It looked like fall had exploded here. We enjoyed the pumpkins, bread, cider, and candy at Huber's.

We took some trails in Brown County State Park. The leaves were incredible.

After hiking, we hit Nashville and ate dinner at the Nashville House. Words cannot describe the Nashville House biscuit. Combined with some smooth apple butter, this biscuit is heavenly. As kids, my sisters, cousins, and I would get sick by throwing down too many of these biscuits. Tonight, I came close...but not enough to keep me from filling a take-home sack.

Next week, I am looking forward to trip #3/3 to Brown County with Ryan and Lauren!

Jordan, you are book-ending our brown county weekend, we were just there the 15-17th enjoying Louisa's first trip. I so wanted to eat at the Nashville house, but 3 month olds are unpredictable and the day we were in Nashville was not a good baby day, so we picked up pizza for home instead. Maybe next time, I'm glad someone enjoyed the biscuits :)
Yay! Glad you had fun. I love me some Toast. :)
Becky, sorry we missed you! I hope you had a great time at the cabin.
Steph, finally got some El Mundo too! Toast is so delicious. I had pumpkin pancakes.
